Dr Clare Patterson is a Specialist Dermatologist with more than 26 years of clinical experience across the United Kingdom and Australia.

She holds degrees in Medicine and Anatomy from the University of London. She completed advanced specialist dermatology training in Oxford and is a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists.

She is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians and holds a Doctorate of Medicine (PhD) awarded for research in skin cancer at the Sydney Melanoma Unit.

Her approach is measured and conservative, with emphasis on avoiding unnecessary procedures while ensuring important conditions are treated properly.

Personal Journey

Born and raised in Shrewsbury, Shropshire the birthplace of Charles Darwin, Dr. Patterson’s roots are deeply embedded in the UK. She has held consultant positions in Oxford, London, Cornwall and Sydney gaining extensive experience in diverse clinical settings.

Her journey to Queensland began with a visit to her brother in Peregian Beach during Christmas 2018. Captivated by the community and lifestyle, she made the swift decision to relocate. Within two weeks, she had moved and her son commenced primary school. Now, many years later, Dr. Patterson and her family have firmly established their lives in Peregian Beach, with no plans to leave.

Personal Philosophy

Having personally experienced skin challenges in her youth, Dr. Patterson understands the impact skin conditions can have on self-confidence. This empathy drives her commitment to providing individualised care that addresses both the physical and emotional aspects of skin health.
